This year our neighborhood started a community garden.
So we bought a plot and thought...gardening will be easy!
Well, we ate those words.
As most of you know, we're planners.
Give us a project/event and we tend to plan it out like crazy.
Well, we're quite certain this was our most unplanned project to date.
So here's how it went down....

Well, we're quite certain this was our most unplanned project to date.
So here's how it went down....
First we had to put up a fence to keep the rabbits out.
After multiple trips to the Home Depot to purchase supplies we never thought we'd have to buy, we constructed the fence.
Half way through we realized the fencing was upside down.
At that point we said, "o well"...
and decided an upside down fence would just have to do for this year.
Also, if you look closely at the right side you can see it's no where near straight.
Again, we said, "o well"...better luck next year.
We planted marigolds around the edge for a little flare.
You can see we planted the ones on the right side to match our not so straight fence...Oops!
Then it was time for the planting.
We had no idea what we were doing...we kept asking,
"how far apart do you think we need to plant this?"
Like either of us had a clue!
We can only hope something grows.
Note: this was before we pounded down the tomato cages, so they look super high.

So that's our unplanned gardening experience thus far.
It's been quite the journey. :)
We'll keep you posted on its progress!
And as for Mabel...she's loving that we can finally have the windows open!
Looks like fun! Wish i could have been there to witness the fence building! Haha
