Summer on Discovery Lane!

We have tomatoes! Fresh from our garden!

And...we have lots more on the way.

Josh's chili peppers are also looking hottsie tottsie...

And we might even get a zucchini!

Josh recently returned from his annual summer golf trip (The Coug Cup)
with his buddies from Texas.
This year they chose Northern Michigan as their destination.
The golf courses were beautiful...

but we're sad to report Josh did not take home the Cougar jacket.
There's always next year!

While Josh was golfing, I did a little decorating.
Our master bathroom has needed a pop of color since we moved in last July.
I finally found my inspiration color while shopping in Nisswa with my mom.
Here's the inspiration color/vase!

The master bathroom before...

I simply can not believe we lived with this boring bathroom for over a year!

And here's the bathroom now, with a pop of color!

I've also been searching for the perfect canvas for above our tub,
but just couldn't find what I was envisioning for the wall.
So...my sweet mom (Picasso Sandy) offered to paint us a one-of-a-kind canvas.
LOVE it!

The tub now...

I've also been wanting to hang these super fun polk-a-dot curtains in our guest bedroom.

With some installation help from my mom and dad, the guest bedroom is now complete!

Every summer our community organizes a kids fest.
Here's our nephew Mason with his superman face paint and balloon!

And nothing says summer, like a dip in the pool!

Finally, this is Mabel's face on the days it's been too hot/humid to open our windows...
which have been way too many this summer!
"Mom and dad will you please open the windows so I can hear the birds chirping?"
